Museum features antique table settings
The dining room table at the Paine-Gillam-Scott House Museum features dishes from the museum’s collection.
The table is covered with a lace tablecloth with amber serving pieces, gold rimmed goblets and place settings. These are just a few of the beautiful serving dishes you can see when touring the dining room.
In the kitchen, the table is set with a 1907 china chocolate set, hand-painted by Abby Corbin, who was taught china painting by Mrs. Rose Gillam.
The museum is open Wednesdays 2- 6 p.m. and Sundays 1-4 p.m. through Sunday, December 16.
The Clinton County Historical Museum is located west of the courthouse, 106 Maple St., St. Johns, Michigan. Group tours and individual tours are welcome. For more information call 989-224-2894 or email PGSmuseum@gmail.com. Visit the webpage, PGSmuseum.com and Facebook, Paine-Gillam-Scott Museum.
